The Practice of Prayer

Hey Family! I did the seminar last night during our Prayer Conference.  Here it is in case you missed it! Be blessed! holla Bak

The Practice of Prayer
Presenter: Evangelist Cynthia McInnis

Four Concepts to The Practice of Prayer:

Knowing-Growing-Showing and Flowing

1. Knowing

In order to sincerely initiate the practice of prayer there are several things
that must be known:

A. The Boss - you must know and trust the God to whom all prayer is addressed.

2 Timothy 1:12For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am
not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able
to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

KJV
Daniel 11:32 B ...but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do
exploits.

B. The Benefits - why pray at all? Why become proficient in prayer? Why strive
to pray? Know the benefits.

James 5: 16Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye
may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

3. Battle - you must understand the battle of prayer! Fervent prayer is not
easy. Just like the battle for anything that is beneficial.

KJV
Ephesians 6:18Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and
watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

The weapon of prayer is perseverance!

2. Growing - knowing leads to growing. The more you know the more you grow.

Practiced prayer develops personal spiritual growth.

14That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about
with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness,
whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
15But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is
the head, even Christ:

3. Showing: Practiced prayer shows on and in the life of the Believer. Like a
pregnant woman; what she does in private will eventually show in public.

Matthew 6:6But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou
hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which
seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

Believers must master the seasons of obscurity with the practice of prayer.

Flowing:  When prayer becomes your practice the benefits flow from within.

You make things happen through prayer!

John 7:38He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly
shall flow rivers of living water.

Mark 11:24Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray,
believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
